Please Help Levar Hurtin!
One of the things I love (out of many, many things I love about the roller derby community) is that we take care of our own.
LeVar Hurtin was attacked last night walking to his home from a bar. They pistol whipped him, badly beat him and left him for dead. He was unconscious. Someone found him and brought him to the hospital. Everything was taken from him, his glasses, wallet, money…everything.
LeVar is a big part of not only the West Coast derby community circle of friends, but the community at large with his beautiful contributions of photography to our sport.
Please help however you can, either by donating a few bucks or sharing so that someone else might.

And please be safe, skater gators. The world is a cruel and violent place. But even in the darkness there is light. And even in tragedy, there are the courageous ones who rush into danger to help those in need.
